NOW OPEN! Most families in this region of Nepal live on less than $400 per year. LISHA school serves children from Dattatraya square, located in Bhaktapur, Nepal one of the highest poverty rates in the Kathmandu valley. You will see and experience their struggles but also be inspired by their strength and resilience.  The school where we work is walking distance from our guesthouse. Our student volunteers teach classes daily from 4th to 10th grade, participate in home visits, deliver supplies, make improvements to the school, and help families who are still recovering from the devastating earthquakes of 2015.

Once your team is chosen, you will need to be willing to work together to put time and effort into preparing and practicing lesson plans to be as successful as possible in the classroom. We also threw in some surprises throughout this trip from visiting ancient and sacred temples to a race around the city with class 10. You will fall in love with your class, the teachers, our guesthouse family, and the magical country of Nepal.
